OmniTI has been involved in the Apache Traffic Server project since it’s initial appearance on the open source scene. As an industry leader in scalability and performance consulting for web architectures, we have had hands on experience with a wide variety of software, including NginX, Varnish, and Apache HTTPD, and the availability of a tool battle hardened behind the Yahoo! architecture did not go unnoticed. We’ve had multiple successful implementations of ATS on different projects, improving performance of systems, and have produce patches and plugins to the core product from multiple contiributors, all based on the mission critical production use cases that we’ve observed.

Product Support

As a subscriber to Apache Traffic Server support, you have access to OmniTI’s expert engineers, including product core contributors, to ensure you get the most performance and stability out of the product. Our standard support offering includes both email based support options for both 24x7 and business hours support.

What’s included in support?

We help you make sure that the software is running smoothly for your business, provide guidance on specific issues with the software, and help to maximize the performance of the software. As part of the support we will:

  • Diagnose and fix software specific bugs and problems.
  • Provide advice on best-practices of software usage.
  • Assist with troubleshooting the software within your architecture.

When requested, OmniTI will fix bugs that cause crashing, freezing, incorrect results, data corruption, performance problems, or security breaches. Bugs must be verified via repeatable test cases. OmniTI engineers can help you with creating test cases.

What’s not included in support?

The following tasks are not part of the software support offered:

  • Performing tasks outside of software related problem fixes, instead of advising on best uses.
  • Investigation requests, not specifically identifying the issue in the software.
  • Overall architecture and design consulting, not software-specific best practices

OmniTI offers ATS Support Services which include 24x7 email based support. Our development team allows us to provide rapid release of enhancements for ATS limitations for our Standard and Premium customers as well.
