OmniTI's CEO, Theo Schlossnagle, is keynoting O’Reilly’s Velocity China in Beijing this month with “Simple, Universal Performance Tricks.” In web performance, most advice is around CSS, Javascript and page composition. Theo will explore a different world of system and network tuning to achieve considerable performance improvements in web-accessible applications. Theo will also be leading a second session called “Monitoring What Matters.” In this presentation, Theo will discuss the critical things to monitor in a web architecture and how one should go about monitoring them: just because it is available doesn't mean it is working.
