OmniTI Participates in the Open ZFS Project

OmniTI is proud to announce that we are participating in the Open ZFS project, a multi-vendor, multi-OS effort to encourage continued cross-platform development of ZFS.

The OpenZFS project is the truly open source successor to the ZFS project. The community is bringing together developers from the Illumos, FreeBSD, Linux and OS X platforms, and a wide range of companies building products on top of OpenZFS.

Our OmniOS platform builds on Illumos to make a complete operating system, providing users with a familiar, installable operating system with a minimal package! set to ease regulatory compliance. It delivers a self-hosting environment with simplified processes for ongoing maintenance and up-to-date third-party software. Get OmniOS.

OmniTI supports the OpenZFS project because ZFS is a critical component of the success of OmniOS. Our goal, along with our partner companies in this project, is to ensure that open-source ZFS development continues to flourish.
