Sean Heavey ~ User Interface Designer

Sean is a web designer and developer from the Baltimore area. He has worked and interned for institutions such as the National Gallery of Art, National Geographic TV and The United States Army Research Lab. He has also worked with Baltimore-area design and architecture firms, as well as with government contractors working with the Federal Aviation Administration.

Sean graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in Graphic Design. As a true child of the digital age, his knowledge of web development and standards is mostly self-taught and expanding with every new project. Sean will be bringing a diverse background to his role of crafting a user’s experience with a site or web application. He’s passionate about standards-compliant code, making the web more accessible, and design that puts substance and usability ahead of gimmicks and superficial aesthetics.

Personal Note

When I’m not making the Internet a better place, I like to go off “the grid” by getting out and experiencing the real world. Whether it be taking in a nice dinner and live entertainment in the city, or getting out to the mountains to kayak, mountain-bike or just read a good book by the fire, I make it my goal to lead a life of diverse experiences.
