Prior to joining OmniTI, Mark founded several technology companies in the online media, mobile, and consulting industries. He has extensive professional experience in PHP, though he now works primarily in Perl and Cocoa-Touch.
Mark is currently in pursuit of a degree in Management Information Systems and professional certification in Systems Administration, but dreams of one day satiating his curiosity for all things Science by pursuing a graduate degree in either electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, genetics, or robotics (Until then he remains a frequent visitor to Academic Earth and TED).
Working at OmniTI is like kickboxing in Thailand, learning Italian in Rome, or surfing in Hawaii. We work with high-profile clients, tackle challenging problems, and scale our solutions to efficiently reach millions of visitors each month. As a largely self-taught techie, it's humbling to work with several of the individuals whose published articles and books have taught me much of what I know about server-side programming, Internet security, and building scalable services.
I enjoy writing in English as much as I do in code, and since learning Guitar I've been harboring a secret desire to become a rock star. I occasionally compete in races and Triathlons, and enjoy virtually anything that lets me escape from a computer screen and experience nature for awhile. Life is good.
