Jason is an accomplished systems engineer and administrator with ten years of experience in UNIX, open source software, networking, security, and infrastructure scalability.
He's a well-respected member of the GNU/Linux and BSD communities, and a core team member of the OpenBSD project. As an international speaker, he has presented talks at OSCON, LinuxWorld, BSDCan, and many niche conferences and user groups.
I moved up to Maryland in 1997 to escape the sprawl of deep-south suburbia. I stumbled into the Internet business while learning how to be a software engineer. My free time turned into a passion for open source software, particularly UNIX and the BSD operating systems.
When I'm not playing outside with my two kids and wife Christa, I'm hitting doubles in a softball league, swatting forehands on the tennis court, or working in the yard. After the kids go to bed, I'm usually leveling a Horde warlock in PvP. And, when that doesn't hold my interest, I'm in the basement rebuilding one of my sixteen (and counting) computers.
