Benefits for employees, done right.

At OmniTI, we're a family. Like a family we expect more from each other, we are proud of each other's accomplishments, we are our own biggest fan (although sometimes our clients beat us at that), and we care about the personal welfare of each employee. We structure our benefits to provide each person an opportunity to have a happier, healthier and more secure life outside of work.

Medical Benefits

All full-time employees are eligible for health and prescription drug, dental, and vision insurance on their first day of employment. OmniTI pays for half of the monthly costs.

Flexible Spending Account

FSAs allow you to pay for out-of-pocket medical and dependent care expenses on a pre-tax basis. This includes such things as daycare, over-the-counter medications, prescriptions, co-pays, deductibles, eyeglasses/contacts, dental work, etc.

401(k) Plan

Full-time employees are eligible to participate in our safe-harbor 401(k) retirement plan after four months of employment. OmniTI matches 100% of employee’s contributions that do not exceed 3% of the employee’s salary. OmniTI matches 50% of employee’s contributions between 3-5% of the salary.

Long-term Disability Insurance

This insurance is completely paid for by OmniTI, beginning after two months of employment.

Paid Holidays and Vacation

All employees receive seven paid holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas. In addition, employees can accrue anywhere from 15 to 20 paid vacation days annually, based on tenure with OmniTI.

Paid Sick/Personal Leave

In addition to vacation, employees can take up to 5 paid sick/personal days per year.

Employee Referral Program

OmniTI encourages employees to recommend other great people to join our team. We will reward you with a $5,000 bonus after your referral is hired and completes 120 days of service.

Local Gym Membership

All employees are eligible for a discounted enrollment fee at Life Time Fitness, located less than a mile from our Maryland office. In addition, OmniTI reimburses employees for a portion of their monthly membership dues based on the number of gym visits per month.

Credit Union Membership

Employees are eligible to join a local credit union and enjoy such perks as free checking, overdraft protection, home banking, debit card, and low-rate loans, just to name a few.

Paid ACM Membership

There is an argument from the traditional engineering disciplines that "computer science" is not an engineering discipline, it's a hard science. At OmniTI, we disagree and there is an entire society of professionals that believe that those who professionally practice computing as a science are indeed engineers. This society is the ACM: Association for Computing Machinery. Professionally developing good engineers is core to OmniTI's success and as such we find the ACM to be well aligned with the goals we have for our engineering staff.

Weekly Lunch

Every Wednesday, OmniTI provides lunch for everyone in the office. While pizza is generally the norm, we’ve been known to have barbecues and chili cook-offs, too.

Staff Thoughts

The thing about working at OmniTI is that you have an unlimited opportunity to learn. Given the wide variety of technologies we use, challenges we face, and problems we solve, if there is a type of system you want to work with, chances are you can find it here. You also aren't limited to any one role; if you want to work up or down the stack, we have the systems available and expert mentors in every area; you are only limited by your initiative.

After about 15 years of programming and specializing in IT, I felt it was time to take a step back and move towards a job that will allow me to maintain a broader perspective on things, even moving completely outside of the IT realm. OmniTI, with the diversity of problems that it tackles, of broad customer needs that it needs to understand and help translate into IT requirements, is actually one of the very, very few companies I can think of that could have been able to change my mind and have me, even years later, still be excited about working in the IT world.
